Primary and Secondary education in Sussex is provided at three schools: Sussex Elementary, Sussex Middle School (constructed in 1991) and Sussex Regional High School. The High School has a capacity of 800 and houses industrial, science and business labs, also a theatre, library, gymnasium and soccer pitch. Facilities are shared with community groups for a nominal rental fee.
The Sussex Christian School is a private facility located on the site of the Wesleyan Church on Chapman Drive. Opened in 1984, the school includes instruction from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
Sussex has been the site of the Bethany Bible College, a private post-secondary school, since 1965. The college enrolls students from Canada, United States and worldwide and offers BA and B.Sc. degrees in Christian Education.
Both the University of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Community College offer a wide variety of extension courses in Sussex. Registrations are accepted in Fall and Winter for academic upgrading, business, language, arts, and computer courses.
